Cynthia Annett was born in Melbourne, moved to Fyansford and then to Hamilton, where she has spent most of her life. Although she has had no formal training, she has attended workshops with Sandra Kranz and Salvatore Tragellin. She has a natural ability to mix colours and create images with oils, watercolours, pastels and pen.
Cynthia takes delight in other artist’s works and is fascinated by colour. She is inspired by mountains, clouds and water. She generally uses romantic, gentle, soft colours but sometimes uses bolder colours when the mood strikes and has sometimes ventured from landscapes into abstracts.
